Orlando López naturally from Puerto Rico. Moved to New York City in the late 80’s to assist at Parson’s School of Design where graduated in 1990 with a Fashion Design degree. After graduating Lopez had every intention of putting his skills to use landing his first position as an assistant designer at fashion house of Patricia Field .
In 1995 became the in-house designer for The Tepper Collection, licensee at the time for Karl Lagerfeld and Givenchy outerwear Collections. 
Four years later Lopez branched out again, taking his growing knowledge first to J. Mendel, then Pologeorgis, licensee for Michael Kors and Ralph Rucci.
In 2002, Lopez landed a position as a Design Director to legendary third-generation fashion house Ann Dee Goldin of Goldin Feldman.
López perfected his skills at the famed design house even attracting the likes of celebrities as Fionola Hughes, Joda Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Loper, Janet Jackson and Celia Cruz.
March 2006 Lopez decided to capitalize on his expertises and pursue his dream - the start of his own label. Together with fashion stylist Felix Fletcher, Lopez dream was realized and of Atelier was born.
The talented pair got straight to work and launched the first Collection in June 2006. The Fall/Winter 2006/2007 Collection. In 2011 Lopez becomes a part of Oscar de la Renta design team as a Fashion Consultant as well as the fashion houses of Rodarte and John Varvatos. On 2012 Lopez and Fletcher moved back to Puerto Rico, moving the fashion house of Atelier as well. Since then Lopez has created pieces that appeal to every woman’s sense of self, timeliness and sense of style making them feel unforgettable, dressing in the Island celebrities like La India, Nydia Caro, Hilda Ramos and many of the Miss Puerto Rico Universe contestants, as well as private customers. Everything is made to order, one of a kind pieces. Lopez eye for design, extensive knowledge in the industry and quality production practices has drawn an attentive fan base. In 0ct. 2022 López received the award as a West Trayectoria 2022 At the moment Lopez is busy creating his Spring Collection 2023 that will present in October at San Juan Moda
